Join us at Toyota UK: two days exploring Lean in practice

On 18–21 May 2027, we are organising a trip to Toyota’s vehicle plant in Burnaston, near Derby. A two-day programme at the Toyota Lean Management Centre is planned for 19–20 May, combining training, practical exercises and visits to production areas.

We will explore the Toyota Way, the Toyota Production System (TPS), Kaizen, visual management and problem solving. We will also discuss people development and the role of leaders in building and sustaining a Lean culture. Participants will observe the plant’s operations and identify ideas they can apply in their own organisations.

The Burnaston plant produces the Toyota Corolla Wagon and Hatchback. During the visit, we will see the pressing, body manufacturing and assembly processes—from a coil of steel to a completed vehicle. The Paint shop is not included in the visit.

We invite senior leaders, department heads, production and operations managers, and Lean / Operational Excellence specialists. The tour is intended for professionals responsible for improving processes, developing teams and implementing change. The group can accommodate up to 18 delegates.

Participants arrange their own flights, accommodation and local transport. We will provide a recommended travel plan to help them prepare for the trip.
